Not only have fashion designers have been at war in order to dress Michelle and Barack Obama on the Inauguration Day, taking place yesterday in Washington, but fashion they had already offered to help participate in paying for the festivities (Bush's Inauguration had cost 45 million dollars in 2005, just to give you an idea!). Zac Posen, Diane Von Furstenberg and Alexander Wang, among others therefore designed new fashion pieces for the "Runway to Change" project, which was initally created in order to help pay for Obama's campaign.
